Shoot and Share Contest

Those of you that have been following me for awhile may remember the Shoot and Share contest that I participated in a few years ago. It is such a fun contest to be a part of, and I was glad to participate again this year. (I totally blanked on the deadline last year, but that is neither here nor there!)

There is a wide range of categories from families and children to weddings and animals. The one thing that makes this contest really amazing, is that it is all anonymous. There are no watermarks or names attached to any of the photos. While voting is going on, you see 4 photos in the same category and you choose your favorite, that’s it. Not only is it super fun, it is also very addicting. There were over 330,000 pictures entered in to the contest this year from photographers all over the world. Isn’t that insane?

I did much better than I did last time, and for that I could not be more proud of myself. A huge thank you to my family and all of my amazing clients — you guys are the best!

These photos were all in the top 30% of their category:Senior portrait in field, little boy playing in water, wedding party in field

These photos placed in the top 20% within their respective categories:
Toddler climbing, baby on bed, new parents with newborn, wedding coupleLittle boy on swing at sunset, senior girl with glitter, cow in a field, family

And last, but certainly not least — this picture was a Finalist in the contest. The category was Emotion and Excitement  and it placed at 103 out of 9,197.
